Dam Operating Schedule and Lake Level Info

Weiss Lake, the most upstream lake on the Coosa, was constructed in 1961. Weiss Lake is part of the Upper Coosa Basin (the Coosa Basin being divided into Upper, Middle, and Lower sections). Coosa Riverkeeper maintains jurisdiction over the Middle and Lower Coosa Basins while our sister organization, Upper Coosa Riverkeeper at Coosa River Basin Initiative, maintains jurisdiction over the Upper Coosa Basin, including Weiss Lake. Therefore, we do not implement any of our programs or respond to citizen complaints on Weiss Lake. If you have questions about Weiss Lake or would like to file a pollution complaint in that area, please head over to the Coosa River Basin Initiative website.
