Great Alabama 650 - The Longest Annual Paddle Race in the World | October 1-10, 2022

Test your strength, endurance, and mental fortitude in the toughest paddle race in the United States. This epic adventure takes racers along the core section of the Alabama Scenic River Trail, the longest river trail in a single state. From rushing whitewater to the ambling river delta, the race will challenge even the most experienced paddler. This race is sure to be a one-of-a-kind experience that will not soon be forgotten!

When: October 1-10

Where: This race takes place across the entire state of Alabama, but Coosa Riverkeeper will be present in Wetumpka as the paddlers race through the town! Grab a drink and a chair and come join us in Wetumpka! Times and exact location will be released closer to the start of the race and will depend on the speed of the racers.
