Lake Mitchell is the second oldest and shortest lake on the Coosa. The west bank of Lake Mitchell is fairly developed and part of Chilton County. The eastern portion of Lake Mitchell is fairly undeveloped thanks to the Coosa Wildlife Management Area, a Forever Wild property.
