How to celebrate the 4th on the Coosa

Whether your family spends every independence day at the river OR y’all are searching for new traditions– everyone can agree there is no better place to view a firework show than at the river.

Thanks to Home & Boat Owner Associations and local citizens, there are a number of different ways to celebrate the 4th on the Coosa.

Check out where to catch the best parades & firework shows this weekend-

Neely Henry

 

The annual (FREE!) show put on by Pyrotecnico will take place in downtown Gadsden!

The locals say the best place for viewing is the Greater Gadsden Area Tourism parking lot next to the Spirit of Citizenship Monument.

Date: July 4th Time: 9 PM

Logan Martin

 

If your family enjoys a good firework show, Logan Martin is the place to be!

Enjoying the calm before the storm. Be extra cautious when viewing fireworks from a boat!

Celebrations start this Saturday and continue on until the 7th!

June 30th at River’s Edge Marina starting at 9PM

  • Plus a Shrimp Boil starting at 7PM for $15.99 a plate (+tax)
    • Live music, face painting & games for the whole family!

July 3rd at Clear Creek Marina starting at 9PM

July 4th at Pell City Lakeside Park starting at 9PM

July 7th at Wood’s Surfside Marina starting at 8:30PM


Lay Lake

 

The schedule for Lay is nothing short of a “boomin’ good time!”

Starting on Tuesday the 3rd, there will be Fireworks at Channel Marker 9, 10PM

On the 4th there is a Boat Parade followed by a Firework show at “dark-thirty” at the Paint Creek Boat Launch

 

 


Lake Mitchell

 

Fireworks on Lake Mitchell 2017

Lake Mitchell has a whole parade of Independence Day celebrations. Starting with…A PARADE!

On the 4th- you can decorate your boat (and yourself) at the Pontoon Boat Parade starting at 10AM at Higgins Ferry

Don’t worry, if you’re more of a ski-boater there is a parade starting at 2PM in Blue Creek!

On the 30th, fireworks start at 9PM at Cargile Creek!

 


Lake Jordan

 

The Boat Parade for Lake Jordan is BACK after 22 years! Be sure to join the fun on Saturday, the 30th starting at 4PM.

The Parade will begin at the State Dock (Camp Rotary), into Titus, through the Blackwell’s slough and return down the Slapout side of the lake. Awards WILL be given to the most decorated boat!

On the 4th, the firework show will begin at 9PM. The fireworks are shot from the east side (Titus side) of Lake Jordan dam. The show is best viewed from the water.
