Coosa River Whitewater Festival Recap

We’re back from the Coosa River Whitewater Festival which took place on a beautiful weekend in Wetumpka. We enjoyed watching the whitewater competition and live music while hosting the 2nd stage of our Coosa Canoe & Kayak Fishing Tournament. This stage was presented by River Bank & Trust. Our anglers set out at 5:30am and fished until nearly 5pm! They were tired but had a great day! Joseph Wayne Harris was crowned the Best Angler with a 59.5″ 3-bass stringer that also included a Best Bass of 21.75″. He broke the All-Time Record for Best Stringer by 2.75″. Jake Kiser claimed the Best Young Angler for the third consecutive stage with a 46.5″ stringer, slightly better than his father Michael; together the two claimed the Best Family Duo for the second consecutive stage with a combined 6-bass stringer of 92.5″. Rounding out the Top 5 Overall were Josh Tidwell (56″), Corey Galloway (54.75″), Tony Craig (54.25″), and Isaac Brinkley (49″). Our winners split over $1,500 in prizes from our amazing sponsors!
